Something I will never fully understand

Something that I will never fully understand is why we have Wonder Patches. It's a waste of time. The second day we got them, everybody got their phones out. It just doesn't make sense. If our school gets shot up, how will we call the police if you all can't? It won't make sense, and plus, when we don't have work to do, our phones entertain us. But today we read a poem called The Birches, by Robert Frost. The story is about a girl who is in love with fall but doesn't want fall to leave. She doesn't want winter to come. After we read the poem and it was long we had to do a worksheet about it we didn't finish it. But that's what happened today.
