Somethings I Believed as a child

I believed that Santa Claus was real. I was a kid and one day I went to sleep early and I woke up at 4:00 in the morning. And so I saw that my Christmas presents were there and when I was peeking in the hallway my mom and dad were wrapping everything up. I was like what in the world. I thought Santa was eating my cookie and drinking my milk but this whole time it was my mom and dad. So I went back to sleep my mom and dad came into my brother's room and woke us up. So I told my mom and dad to come here. I said I know y'all y'allSantaa clause you don't got to keep lying to me. But today in class we had a benchmark test to take. It was easy for me but I had to write a whole essay about two stories. It was easy I cannot lie.

A time I couldn't stop laughing

Last year in November my cousin went to the mall we didn't have any ride back home except for our cousin. So it was about 10:00 and I was supposed to be home by 12:00. So they came to get us at about 11:30. They went to see some girls but when they picked us up we stopped by a store and I got some chips because I had a few dollars left. I come back to the truck. So our cousin who was driving said that he wanted to go see some more girls. So his ex saw him trying to talk to her friend and told him to go to her house. And my cousin was like come on so we go to their house and about 12:00 now so we get out there and we sit outside mind u that it is cold. So my cousin Justin who was in the back with me was chilling and we got out of the car. So my cousin Verene and Jaiden had left us and my BSF and ex. They left in trouble we just talked and chilled with them and we some somebody running up the road so, they got closer and it was the girl who was in the truck with them. She said the t...

A fear that i overcome

A fear that I overcame was shooting a gun. My stepdad had a lot of guns because he was a gun guy. But at Christmas, he had bought me a rifle. It wasn't big but it was a rifle. I shot it the first time but wasn't scared. But the other big guns he had I was afraid. They were very loud and scary they could've pushed me back like Kevin Hart in Ride Along. But that one day he was in the back I had just gotten out of school it was deafening and I was super happy because it is good times when we shoot guns. He told me to shoot it jordon I had to shoot the gun. It was very heavy and I was scared but I shot it and it pushed me back. But I was ok I was happy that I overcome that and it was a good day. But today in class we started our project about a book called " A Lesson Before Dying," by Ernest J. Gaines. It taught me to watch my surroundings and make sure I stay out of trouble. It's a very good book I would like other people to read it because it teaches you a lot ...

One time I was judged unfairly

One time I was judged unfairly I was at school. Everybody was taller than me, they used to call me short and everything. Used to tell me that I'm ugly and pick on me. I couldn't do anything because I was short and skinny. But in my 10th-grade year, I started growing. 11th grade year I am now 5'9. I used to be 5'3, but got taller and built differently. But today my class started a novel called "A Lesson Before Dying", by Ernest Gaines. We finished chapter one today. The novel is about a boy named Jefferson who is being charged with 3 murders and robbery in 1896 when jim crow laws were born. But some things I learned from this novel is that you need to make sure that you know the people who you're hanging around with and that you need to stay away from people that are trouble so you won't be in this situation that Jefferson is in

A conversation that change me

A conversation that changed me was with my mother. In 5th grade, I was a bad child failing all my classes. I wasn't focused; I was playing the game and going outside. She gave me a sit-down, the school had almost held me back but still passed me. I was sad and crying all day and saw that all of my friends passed and one of my closest friend had left me. My mom told me that I had the chance and I needed to stop playing and focus before I ended up not being successful. Then 6th grade I did the same thing but I passed. She gave me a talk again. She said I need to be more mature, I need to study more and practice my school work. When 7th grade hit that's when I changed. I started passing all of my classes with  A's and B's. I started to clean up after myself and feel better. But today we had to do our new vocabulary words worksheet. I was done with it and it was easy, and made a 100 on it.
